But what was the proof ... oops ... sign that he single-handedly designed that switch? :-) I mean everything is done at a group/team level in big operations like this ... one person's departure, by definition, is designed to be a non-event in such a large company ... else companies won't be able to function, in this day and age of mass-scale seduction storm for high-tech skills, no? :-) Moreover, he can't use that knowledge directly and right away for other company. Else, he'll have a lot to loose personally and the hiring company will be sued. But, may be this is a round-about way of acquiring companies these days, remember Intel-Digital Semiconductor operations? Let the baby cry a bit first and later make it quiet by stuffing candy in his mouth? :-) So, an absurd conclusion of all this: strengthening the buyout of ASND scenario! :-) On the other hand, LU may want to understand ASND culture first, first hand, by getting their inside guy (remember Pesatori/Rose ?? of DEC going to CPQ first) as a premonition?? So, another weird conclusion: ASND bride getting ready for a proposal! :-) On the real lighter side :-), if a wife really likes a guy personally, ;-) then that guy is always presented as "of good character" and "an asset" in the conversations with the husband, so as to preempt any tendency of the husbands to accidentally land-up viewing him as an another "as* et c." ! :-) cheers, -/Sonny.
