Tenpole, I saw about the same thing and am glad you posted about the shooting star candle-stick. I'm not an expert in the candle-stick analysis method but recognize some of the more dramatic formations. It's doing much of what I thought it would - forming a rolling triple top. This is good on many counts - the wild volatility reflects the high degree of irrationality that's been driving the stock - on both the part of the bulls and the bears. The roll-over that appears to be forming (my "read" of the events and market dynamics surrounding the stock have led me to believe this would take place before being clearly obvious in all the TA indicators), needs only a few days of not being able to stage a further rally to confirm more convincingly.
