Ramsey,

I bought Gateway back in early 1996, which is not that long ago by my investment horizon either, but I don't think I need to "go back" to see how my company did - I was there.

September 1997 was obviously a poor quarter and Gateway may, and in fact probably will, have one again someday, although I don't agree with your "strikingly similar" comment.

In any event, I guess I am wasting my breath trying to explain a long term investment strategy to a bunch of short term traders. $.38 in the last quarter, or -$.68 in September 1997, or even the strong $.59 in the December quarter last year don't matter a huge amount. What matters is how Gateway does IN SUM over the next 15 to 20 years.

But I'm guessing you won't be around then to tell me how right or wrong I was.
