Keith, you are right. A lot of JD's picks require patience. That is the reason I now watch them a while to see if they are going to move down some more.

The European stocks certainly have moved up in the past two years. Two years ago next week, I bought a closed end fund, World Wide Value Fd, which in spite of its name was 100% in Europe. It open-ended months ago and I recently sold my entire position to lighten my international exposure. I doubled my money.

I just did an over simplistic calculation and added the gain or loss percentage in my international stocks that JD recommended. They show an average gain of only 64%. This includes the bad Asian losses.

Keith, one additional point. The principal reason that I have been using JD instead of just putting all my international money into Janus Worldwide or some other good international or global fund, is to save on the management cost. Paying the price on a good investment newsletter is certainly cheaper than paying a mutual fund 1% or more if you have a significant amount invested. I first bought Janus Worldwide almost three years ago and I am up 75%. This too is not an accurate reflection because I added some money to JWW about two years ago. I would have been higher if I had not added the fresh money.

If you compare JD up 64% and JWW up 75%+, I should have put it all in JWW.

Keith, I'll stop with this. To be fair, over the 5 years I have followed JD's advice, I have taken some international gains. I got out of Ericsson too early but more than doubled. Recently left Magna with a gain. But I have taken some losses on international stocks also. I don't know how this would effect the 64% number.

JD does love CCR, in fact, he becomes enamored with almost all his picks.
