I hate addictions.

I covered my DELL a couple of days ago, expecting a rally into the EPS report.
We are running out of days for that rally to amount ot anything.
Do you have any comments on this fact?

Jim

As for 57925,
Each system is advertised as a business system. If you want to say that DELL is selling a higher quality / value system than CPQ...well I don't want to get into that.
My basic research was to find two similiar configured systems for the small business office. that is what I found.

The fact that DELL will not let you strip down the machine as much as you want, That could be seen as a negative or a positive.
CPQ's slower cd-rom's cost less, and there is very little difference between the two as on a business system, the CD-ROM is really only used for software instalation. Why not save a few bucks and spend 10 more seconds waiting for the program to install.
The other thing, DELL is maintaining ASP's by not letting you strip down the machine as much as a customer may want.
Lets face it, 50% of all PC are used for tasks where a little striping down won't make any difference except save the buyer a little $$.
