Mike,

I'm more than a little concerned about the market, myself. We are in a historical time period right now that has seen the market roll over and die. No one has a crystal ball, but everyone can look at historical charts and see that the market tends to make lows in the fall. October is especially notable for this.

If the 20% people are right, we could be zigging and zagging downward to the 7000's that Thomas has mentioned a number of times. That's a support level that may hold, but it will be painful getting there.

I'm in only one position right now and it's very small. I plan to hold only because the chart pattern hasn't broken yet. I took a nice 10%+ out of a trade in CTYA the other day. My stop was hit, only to have the stock move out from that hit. Up again today. I hate it when that happens <G>. Still 10% for only 4 days is a keeper.

I've noticed a good number of stocks that come through my daily scans are bucking this downward tendency. Just too scared to play them. For an example, take a look at XIRC. I got the first buy on this one back on July 20. It's up about 28% since then.
