Lets see

We have a president that spends his time trying to win an Oscar for not inhaling nor doing it in the Missionary position

and, a congress that has spent 2 years and billions of our tax dollars with the only result the renaming of the Washington Airport over the guy who fired the air traffic controllers

and, a first lady that magically turns $1000 into $100,000 in "honest" futures trades

and. a prosecuter that spends years and $50 big ones trying to find a speck of dirt on someone he hates

and on and on and on

in the meantime the US is in about the best shape, economically and otherwise it has been in generations

while the rest of the world falls apart

hmmmmm

maybe if the next asteroid does hit DC we might be there as a country

forget all this left/right bullshit; a decent politician is about as rare as an oil stock that is setting a new 52 weeks high

why waste bandwidth on this crap

The independent council statute needs to be amended, not thrown away. There is a real issue of an out of control prosecutor, and a majority of Americans and even people in the American Bar Association agree with this concern and assessment. Clinton was assured that Republican's would never abuse the statute in exactly the way they have at the time it was up for re-authorization. Even after all of this, it still should be amended and kept rather than thrown away. Blaming the jaywalker for the circus of the procecution of the crime of jaywalking is not the right place to focus. The lack of balance and appropriateness is the issue and the majority of American have made this political judgement. In the end, Clinton will prevail and all of this will just be for what? Good for the country? Clinton has done a great job as President in all the areas I care about.
