Dave, I loved that documentary. I am not sure about Robin Williams. He may have been seriously concerned about Andy getting hurt, because pro wrestlers do get hurt. And those with the least experience tend to get hurt the most. Look what happened to Richard Beltzer when Hulk Hogan pile drove him. He got rich! -g-

Andy played it straight and Lawler breaks kayfabe more often today announcing the WWF. He is kind of remarkable, playing heel nationally and babyface in Tennessee. In the old days is happened all the time, but that was before cable.

BTW, I think the saddest thing in pro wrestling today is Vince McMahon trying to turn himself into the star of his own promotion. I guess he figured everyone hates him anyway, so he may as well capitalize on it. But, IMHO, he is just on camera too much for an owner. There is a cardinal rule: the booker cannot be the star. Dusty Rhodes did it all the time and hurt the business. Vince is even worse.
