AMZN should float another 100 shares of stock and get those workers some real desks! I'd call him an unbelievable cheap-skate. As if $25K of equipment would affect earnings that much. The could do a 'one time' expense or something.


Frugality is clearly a corporate value. CEO and founder Jeff Bezos not only prides himself on having desks made from doors--we'll get to that in a minute--but he also eschews superfluous office equipment such as monitor stands and extra chairs. Monitors are propped up on telephone books; chairs for meetings are "borrowed" from those who leave them unguarded.
