Could it be that the price of $1 is not the real issue here, but rather the time frame of the expected TX deal? Have the Preferred holders manipulated as much as they can in anticipation of the TX announcement, and happen to have only depressed the stock price this far and are converting now in order to not lose their present conversion advantage once the TX deal is announced?

In other words, is the conversion motivated by the risk that the announcement is expected soon, and once done, fewer shares will result from conversion due to the new, higher trading range for the stock?

Is this rationale just wishful thinking?

Also, is there some way can we accurately monitor the numbers of Preferred left un-converted?
