By Peter Nielsen
LONDON, Aug 14 (Reuters) - Microsoft Corp. on Friday
acknowledged that its new Windows 98 computer operating system
suffers from a minor date bug, which was detected by British
software company Prove It 2000.
Although the bug is rare and likely to only affect one in
five or six million users, the U.S. computer giant is taking no
chances and plans to update its Windows 98 website within days
so users can download software to squash the bug.
