I haven't seen anyone mention cable yet. I have cable service running my computers and all 3 networked thru a Wingate server. Other than the occasional cut cable wire, or a storm, it runs beautifully all day.

They are sort of like franchises of Terra Nova. For the most part they are very similar, using the same short list (though some offices, for some reason, are able to deviate somewhat from that list), to wit, JPR capital at jprcapital.com.

They all get their data from Townsend (TAL, multiple servers), and your orders actually go directly to TAL's orders servers, bypassing the branch.

The choice as to who you go with is based on their level of support for the client, their commissions (each office sets their own), their administrative quality, etc. Basically, most rely on word of mouth, and so far most of what I hear is that MB is the best. That doesn't mean some others aren't great, too. Just haven't heard much.

I do have a few friends who are using JPR, and they are very happy. Commissions are about $10-12 per trade. They have only been doing remote trading for a few months, so they don't yet have a long track record. I think they have offices in Long Island and Boca Raton on the east coast, and LA on the west.

Good luck whomever you go with.
