Any opinion on car rental companies? They are beat down to lows for the year (except Hertz) and also near book value. Negative seems to be they have VERY high debt/eq. ratios. And these stocks could get much lower. I show (from Yahoo): Budget (BD) 20.1/4 with bv at 18, psr at .3 Avis (AVI) 18.11/16 with bv at 17.7, psr .3 Hertz (HRZ) 40.13/16 with bv at 11.!!, psr 1.2!! Dollar (DTG) 10.7/8 with bv at 11.9, psr .3 Republic (RII) (multi-industry; not comparable) Hotel stocks and airline stocks I follow and own are down, so I guess I'm not surprised that these companies' stocks are down too. Anyone following or have an opinion? Paul Senior
