Can anyone comment on this Briefing.idiot comments about the NN.
These are bunch of morons, have some stupid explanation for every move of a given a stock. Here it is
"In an otherwise weak networking sector, Newbridge Networks (NN)
was a notable standout, adding 2 1/8 on volume of 2.3 mln shares... BA Robertson Stephens reiterated its buy rating... Also helping was sense of optimism that NN will benefit from MCI Communication's Corp. withdrawal from a venture that some feared would have taken away business from Newbridge in favor of Ascend."

I would think otherway that, by MCI merging with WCOM, plays into ASND hands, since WCOM is the single biggest customer year after year and quarter after quarter. Last quarter WCOM contributed to 13% of sales, that is 43 million dollars.(14 million dollars/month).

Don't you think that MCI selling their internet backbone to C&W would necessitate them to buy more equipment and why would they buy another vendor, They simply would expand the present network, UUNET.
Anyone with some thoughts on this one.

Hey Djane,

I am sorry to see you 'out' of Ascend. I know you have your reasons.
I have to take it as extremely bullish that you have liquidated your position. You see, during the past year, there were two other great
'posters' here (among others), Gary Korn and Maverick.
Ascend zoomed after they sold.<g>

In any case, I think I speak for many in saying that I hope you keep posting your info here.

Thanks,
Pat Hughes
