Could this be due to the scheduled meeting next week (I think) between treasury secretary Robert Rubin and Japenese officials?

Something positive is likely to come out of that meeting, no? Something like "You better get your shit together, or else!!" (Just kidding)

Seriously though, the Japenese are NOW admitting that the country is in a recession, while the whole world knew this 3 years ago.
