Gersh:sometimes I think the stock market is run by the bond pit for their convenience. After all, brokers never made money selling bonds. But look this chart of the humble treasury bond return.

Have low interest rates been good for their stock market? no
Have low interest rates been good for their bond market? yup.
Did somebody make boatloads of money on the yen-carry trade, borrowing at 1% in japan and investing at 6% here with interest rates going down? yup.
Where to next? maybe latin america- no reason for rates to be so high.
