I believe he is right. I would read it this way :

Because you can now buy PII 266/300/333(including Celeron)
and AMD K6-2 system under 1000, no one would ever
buy those MediaGX or PR-rated Cyrix.

Paul, I thought competing in the sub-$1000 markets WAS the Cyrix strategy <ggg>. Gee, they must run that commercial on CNBC like every other hour. Now Halla is saying that the shift towards sub-$1000 is the reason for more losses. Seems like Halla has mastered the recipe for disaster <ggg>.
