Hogger,
I like your reasoning, either way.

Yes, that is the future. I don't care what you believe. <eom>

Storytelling
or
How to tell Stories

Examples from SI

Let us say you owned a company, one that was run out of the living room. A good example of story telling would be to say you were going into the abortion business. Send out brochures telling everyone that you would freeze then re-animate babies for later implantation. Don't come right out and say it is impossible, just imply that this is the future. When you get lots of money, quit, and claim it was all political, you could do it, but the evil Democrats wouldn't let you, blame it all on politics. Make sure you never come right out and say, it can't be done, this might give readers the wrong idea. Your next story would have to be even better. A good topic for stories is cancer, it has a high human interest quotient. Buy some technology, make sure it is obscure. License the technology to an equally obscure Costa Rican clinic. When you have done this, let everyone know that you might have the cure for cancer, but they will have to buy shares in your company to get preferential treatment. Once you have milked this cow, make up a tale about the President and the medical breakthrough of the age. Since you have already used up the frozen baby story, and you have used up the cure for cancer story, try a cure for aging, it sounds very farfetched, but like PT Barnum said...

So, you see how story telling works Hogger.
