Damn those yo-yos over there. CNBC is reporting (assuming this is correct) that the government stepped in and intervened in both the currency and equity markets in Hong Kong. Considered by some to be a panic move.

I heard the CHL news this morning too. My question is this: did the news of the monetary authority intervention come out before or after the Hang Seng closed?
