"...But the issue for Apple stock here is who are going to buy iMac (except some Macmaniacs) while most software are for PC's..."

Buddy, there is easily more than 10 millions "macmaniacs" and please tell me specifically what I cannot do at home with my iMac because "most software are for PC's". By the way, does windows have MS Office 98 yet?

"...Apple company was too stupid and greedy in the 80's and 90's..."

That's in the past. Get back to the present and the future buddy. What a moronic and uninformed argument to go short on this stock.

PS: To all the regulars, I have been a lurker here for about a year. I have learned much about Apple and about investment from you all, bulls and bears. Made A LOT OF MONEY BEING LONG on APPL, however. Thank you all very much. I don't have much to contribute, so back to lurking. Bye.

<<spent 1.5K for a junk Apple IIC when I was dirt poor>>

I used to trash the Apple II line when it was in it's heyday. (I was a Commodore64 user).

Ultimately, it depends on how you use it. I was holding pretty well with the 64 while studying graphic design at Harvard when everyone else was using the early Macs. (I trashed those too)

In restrospect, the ][ series still had tons more software and greater market share than the other PCs of it's day. My arguement for the C64 was that it ran in color and did not need Apple proprietary perhiphs like monitors and such.

Again, if you know how to use a machine to the max, even a Timex Sinclaire 1000 could outperform the other PCs in getting real work done.
