Morning Jim: FWIW here are a few opinions on Dell. 1. The expected and customary run-up to earnings is company specific and will occur except in the case of really shocking (and unpredictable) world events. So I agree with Williams advise to hold any August calls until at least Tuesday morning, and at that time will decide whether to sell some or all of them. (I will probably keep a few) 2. Dell stock is at a low level (buying time) as the the failure to have a split announced at the stockholders meeting caused an immediate tanking when excessive expectations were not met. 3. In the last 4 quarters Dell earnings have exceeded the estimates by 02 , by 02, by 02, and by 02.(unless I read something wrong) So why change something thats working??(gg) They will beat the Street, for what ,about the 18 th ?? time in a row now.
