All,

It seems that it is now governments vs charts and nature.It would also seem that Abby had the inside track on the Hong Kong Banking Authority move of stock buying.If gold trades above $289.90 on the DEC contract,the symetry of the downside daily chart pattern will be broken.Will be time to cover short term shorts.Governments around the world working over time on this one.

Bill: looks like we will have to wait a bit to get two consecutive $2 updays. Such an event would not convert me into an all out bull, but would be very encouraging nonetheless.

Bill: if we get two consecutive $2 updays accompanied by strength in gold stocks on good volume, I probably would turn bullish. But if bullion rallies and gold stocks lag, probably just another flash in the pan.
