I find that it is too easy to fall in love with a stock and the main objective gets lost. I always remind myself that if you take $5000 and make a measily 20% on it 30 times in a row -you end up a millionaire. There has been several times that friends brag that they have a double on a stock and I immediately tell them -sell half. Invariably when I talk to them a month later- they are happy with what they did (if they did it). JP
