Well, Ciena is the big WDM company, and they just got hammered. This is like when INTC got hammered because it was losing market to cloners, and dragged Cyrix and AMD down with them- the very ones gaining the share. That is, MRVC is going after the optical networking idea in a big way-- it's part of their core competence, and the margins will be high in this cutting edge stuff. So CIEN getting slapped would be bad for MRVC if you didn't read the article, just looked at the stock price. Web
