That is, of course, why Finland is such a powerhouse when it comes to world affairs. ;-)


Uh, yes, I thought of that as well, although Finland is not alone among European countries in their generous vacation grants. I suppose one could argue that one of the reasons the U.S. has become such a dominant world player is because of the work ethic here.

An interesting country to study is Norway, with the massive money they receive from the large oil fields recently found offshore. They recently voted to pay even higher taxes and provide more social services for everyone. It's also easy to live "on the dole" and not work at all. I think their highest income tax rates are over 60%. Ouch!

But what does this have to do with Apple you all may ask? Nothing, absolutely nothing...
