The charge was to be expected. MO did it last quarter and will probably continue to do it in the future. Clearly, a settlement is needed.
Saw a Dow Jones News Headline about an hour ago that said US appeals court blocks tobacco regulations from the FDA. Anyone have more on this story?

-3 Cents off of 2Q. Ok., MO is upfront, about this...
A one - time issue involving an additonal charge due
to Texas agreement. Ok. It is over and done with.

MO management not hiding with odd or strange accounting practices.
The charge is done.

Nothing has changed, The Appeals Courts, are dealing with the
with one of the big issues, as predicted, ruling in favor
of Tobacco on rules of law ( The yesterday's curious FL. decision, places the burden back on the plaintiff's. ).

It is now , the middle of August.

Talks continue in secret witih the remaining AG's.

It is a question of patience, time, ...begin accumulating
more MO. This time next year. You will look back and
cherish those dividends, and capital gains.

I added to my position yesterday, and today.

Patience. This is a bet the ranch investment.

IMHO,
