Back in at 46.25. Betting on heavy put buying due to CIEN/TLAB scare, rebound next week for options expiration, jam the short sellers, and Clinton stuff is a chimera. Critique?

P.S. To add the obvious, current quarter is going very well, earnings in mid-10/98 should be great, LU takeover rumors will begin again in earnest in mid-9/98, etc.

Dont you think international banks and corporations have had enough time to insulate themselves from these economies (Japanese and Russian)? These problems did not happen overnite, they have been around for years. I think the recent limited selloffs indicate there is not as much exposure as there used to be.
