In a continuation of <<who the funniest speaker of the Bible is? I continue to say Jesus. Here is another story for your review.

Luke 7: remember Simon the Pharisee asking Jesus to drop in for a bite to eat. But think about this. A woman decides to come in. Not just any woman, but a "sinner:. Not invited, very probably not wanted there because as the whole town knew, she was a "known sinner". Very probably some of the men in that very room "knew" this woman from town, and were very nervous indeed that she was there, perhaps seeing their own marriages flashing before their eyes if this woman came to talk. Anyway, she comes into Simon's house, walks over to Jesus, kneels down beside where he is reclining and is kissing his feet, all the while crying, stirring up the dust that the host had not prev. taken care of, and then doing something not done in public, she took her hair down to wipe Jesus feet from the tears. Man oh man what is everyone thinking.......

then comes the "Jesus sense of humor" what does He say??

He says to Simon in v.44. ......"Do you see this woman?"

LOL... do you see this woman??? that is <all anybody probably saw ever since she walked into the house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Gregor, I believe the coicidence of the breeze and the falling materials components were quite specifically designed that you would have no doubt that talking to angels OF THE MOST HIGH GOD is a very good habit to get into.

Very quickly, without my endless narratives from a born compulsive writer... Once upon a time in Arizona in 1993 there was an older horse in a little shaded paddock and I drove by him every day so of course I felt he was one of my animal friends.

One hot, hot Sunday morning I was horrified to drive by the house and see the horse sideways on the baking hot desert yard, outside of his paddock, and in the full sun. A cop was there, and so was the owner's daughter who had found the horse out of his paddock and for reasons NO ONE could figure out, fallen and seemingly in severe distress. She was crying and saying that her mother had been thinking about putting him to sleep because he "falls and can't get up."

He was sweating like crazy, and it was about 112, and very dangerous situation. The cop was thinking about who he could call, the girl was running to get a hose to hose him down and I was getting less comfortable with poor horse and so in a loud voice, lest none could miss it, I prayed over the horse and asked our Heavenly Father to send an angel to move the horse.

Then I walked to the horse and put my hands on his shoulders, trying to encourage him "to rise up and walk". I got a feeling "if he moves, I could get crushed here" and moved backand was talking to the cop about hosing him down and that should work.

Now. Here is the story point. The horse was laying fully outstretched, as dead, legs pointing away from a fully shaded tree area less than 5 feet away. Legs pointing the opposite direction. The horse raised his head and pulled the foreleg he could move up, so the foreleg was kind of bent over the other. I smile and say, "oh, good, he's getting up." The cop smiles, too, relieved.

Suddenly and in a huge blur this animals is in the air and twisting around and slams back on his OTHER side fully under the tree except for about a handkerchief patch of his hanch which was in the full sun. After the blur the horse is now in a the exact opposite direction, and as I remember, his legs now pointed toward the tree trunk. Still as a mouse, like absolutely NOTHING had happened.

The cop, who I believe showed the signs of being a totally full human being and probably that due to Jesus Christ stared at me with stunned "what happened" in his eyes for as long as I stared at him. A very long moment. The daughter comes running back with the hose, missed it all, and is just happy the horse is under the tree.

So, it is my understanding of this thing that I witnessed that an angel flipped the horse over so it was in the shade. Otherwise, it was a divinely inspired utterly bizarre burst of strength from a horse weakened by heat exhaustion and old age. By an angel.

When I left Arizona the horse was still living in his little shaded paddock.
