David, It is more than just technology. Meshing 3 companies together
into one is no easy task. CCSC,TLAB,CIEN all three have to be
operationally meshed together. Try reorging 10 people, and see the
mood swings. Anyway, cascade had the next generation technnology, so
did USRX with Total Control etc... The issue is Eric/Mory both failed
to execute operationally. With merger issues, letting your eye off
the ball for a second will cause you to lag...

I just sold some LU to pick up TLAB, I basically like niche players
and TLAB will just do fine... However, don't expect a pickup in
price. Expect downgrades... Until, we get some positive announecement
for a WDM system sold to some big customer, this stock will not
pick up very soon..

With regard to the stock price of TLAB, I can't really see not making the analogy.

Sure enough, both COMS & Robot are commodity producers. But Ascend and Cascade are not. About 2 months or so up to the CSCC merger, Asnd was on a "tear" also. Right now, what vendor is positioned the best for voice over IP? Alot of people would say ASND. So even well positioned companies get spanked harder than they should.

But hey, I'm long TLAB, and will add to it when it gets into the mid fifties.
