Those guys are right 100% of the time though.

I don't know about that. As an example, I recall Murphy shorting AOL several years ago, at MUCH lower levels. That was an obvious mistake (in hindsight). Incidentally, the other short rec in that same issue was TAN, which is up several dollars from that point.

I subscribed to Leo Hood's publication for about a year. His long picks seemed to work out better than his shorts (unless you went *long* his shorts, that is). Perhaps eventually many of them fall to lower levels. That's why your idea to wait until bad news actually hits is an excellent one.
