I sent the following email to Tellabs investor relations today. As a long-term holder of Tellabs I don't believe the present exchange rate is appropriate. I doubt my email will matter, but it is the only way that I can let the board know how I feel. As a Tellabs shareholder, I wish to urge the board to reconsider the Ciena merger terms. I suggest that they meet again either vote the merger down or renegotiate the exchange rate. I do not believe the present agreement is in the best interest of shareholders of Tellabs. Robert D.
