Ratan:

---->place 'fill or kill' orders with e-schwab

agreed ---- but my last 4-5 index trades with them averaged 1 minute to open the position (marginal at best for my happiness)
but
over
2 minutes to close ------- (can't live with that)

When I visited the Dallas office and talked to a couple of the honchos I was advised that a "real live person" had to make sure that the close position buy or sell wasn't a naked one and that there was indeed an open position in my account to close ....
At that point, I really wasn't too polite in my attitude, so I've not made any trades on the indexes since with eschwab.....

and

they damg sure aren't even in the ballpark with commish price .....
but thanks for the info, anyway.

The one that I use mostly now (small regional phone broker) opens the position in under 20 seconds and closes in the same time
but
is fairly costly at 100 bucks per roundtrip
and isn't always available unless I go to the office in person or let him know ahead of time ----- and that's something I hardly ever know....

Regards ---- Nemer
