[[Since you can not borrow such a certificate for delivery in a BB stock, you would be in default]] Unless of course you already own the stock! You can short stocks that you own -- I've done it before with a Nasdaq stock. See my posting where I explained that you should short with the shares that you got for free by selling off half of your shares when the price of the hyped stock doubles, thus recovering your initial investment, and giving you shares that didn't cost you anything.
