Thanks, I read thestreet.com's analysis and was not impressed. This is just some kid fresh out of college writing about stuff he has no idea about (and you can forward this message to Jim Cramer and tell him I said that). It's easy to take a press release of an earnings warning and turn it into a hit piece. It takes some acumen to do some leg work and turn a sceptical eye to what you read. At least the Wall Street Journal columnist was out in front of the story and published bad news about CIEN before CIEN announced it themselves. Also, the TSC writer acts as though CIEN is hiding something, which casts doubt on CIEN's management. CIEN never booked revenue from AT&T, and never said it would--it's disingenous to make it seem that CIEN mislead investors about this potential customer. IMO, it would have been shocking if T chose CIEN over LU, and while it would have been real GRAVY for it to happen, I don't think it fundamentally damages CIEN. The key is CIEN staying on the cutting edge of DWDM. Customers will come by the bucketful (I still hold out a lot of hope that CIEN's partnership with CSCO will bring a lot of customers in the door, but I haven't heard of this producing any revenue since it was announced.). Anyway, this is all a long way of saying, I tried out TSC, didn't like it, and cancelled my membership. Doughboy
