Bruce,
I see a 24x ide cd rom for $32 and a 32x for $39 on pricewatch so I could even be too high.

I see a 56k internal modem for $29 and a 33.6 for $21...so in quantity I think I'm not too far off.
I've bought Mitsumi keyboards for $8 and floppy drives for $10 so I know those are in the ballbark. I know a guy in Miami that assembles simms and sells 16 meg for $10. So I know that's doable. Speakers abound at $5-$6 as do cases for $20 at shows so I suppose $15 for a case is doable in quantity.
I know guys that would assemble these GXs all day long for $25 a piece and be happy to take home $200-$250 a day.

I'd say such a machine would have been cutting edge about 1.5 years ago the modem aside.

Jim
