well i have just returned from a summer vacation in northern michigan ,it was the best summer weather in 20 years or more.interestingly there are a lot of signs up there for a n early fall , some of the leaves are beginning to turn and the acorns are dropping.perhaps that combined with la nina are all straws in the wind for a long and cold winter.that would certainly have a major impact upon the price of natural gas which is currently languishing .the oil ,gas and driller companies are now trading at ridiculously cheap levels ,one that i own has a pe of 8.sooner or later things will turn and it will have proven to be a historic buying oppurtunity.it just hard to pick the bottom. as for epic it seems to have stabalised at these levels and as far as i can tell no significant news now for several months.its interesting to see how some frequent posters are now changing there tune now that the price has crashed,the truth of course is in reading all the old notes.a few of course have made big money on epic safari but the majority have lost.as for its prospects its hard to see that any jv partner is going to come in with the depressed nature of oil and gas and the fact that most companies are now converting to survival mode until prices go up , everyone is hoping in the oil patch that this price fall in oil and gas is temporary. as for the vse it seems to get worse and worse , the great white hope ashton and the alberta diamond play seems to be crashing also with turmoil at ashton .tough to know where to put your money right now .however i really believe that oil ,gas and the drillers offer compelling value right now ,though epic is probably cheap right now it hard to see anything happening so it may drift down on lack of interest.the small golds now are ridiculously cheap and if the dollar weakens or oil goes up then gold will follow and huge profits will be made by the brave few who are buying right now .arh
