Certainly! You will see in sometime in Q4. I am running my K6-2 overclocking to 375MHz now. Heat sink is warm but still not as hot as my K6-233. BTW: Do you have any understand of heat dissipation and computer? Or are you one of "those dumb stupid people that usually have better luck"?

SS7 can and will go to at least 450Mhz. Then the K7 will kick in at higher speeds.

If you are serious, the answer is "yes". Actually,
Kevin is incorrect in his assessment of the SEC
superiority in terms of heat dissipation: there
is no difference, technically speaking. I would
even say that the socketed (flat mounted) chips
have an advantage in the sense that you can
attach bigger cooling device without many additional
hooks, brackets, etc. as for the perpendicularly
mounted cartridge. The other heat-spreading conditions
are identical and depend on the particular silicon
technology (and packaging technology).

Currently the K6-2-300 dissipates about
10-12W while the old 0.35um K6-233 was working
in systems dissipating 20-25W with conventional
heat sinks/fans. Since the power dissipation is
proportional to the chip frequency, there is
no technical reasons why the 0.25 K6-2 will not
able to dissipate the same heat when running
at 600MHz. (John Traveler, just shut up about
thermal resistance etc.)
Unfortunately, there are other factors
that may limit the K6 working frequency. One factor
is the switching rate of silicon gates (better
as Yousef about it, he-he). There are some others...
