Zero Coupon Bonds

I bought them on Bob's advice at 9%, 9.15%, and 9.47% and locked in for 25 to 30 years placing them in my IRA account approximately 10 years ago.

Can you say WATERMELON SMILE?

You bring up a good point. Bob's fixed-income recommendations have been very good over the years. I wish I had been listening earlier, but I did take advantage of some of the five-year T-Notes that he called "raging buys" back when the yield was about 7%. I also took advantage of the Series EE bonds on his recommendation, back when the guaranteed minimum interest was 6 or 7 percent.

Best wishes,

I2

P.S. I noticed that Bill F. is hosting the show today. Did anyone hear a reason for Bob's absence? Will Bob be back tomorrow?
