In my latest post I said the bottom was not in yet. Unfortunately I was right. When the OSX could not rally on a 50 cent jump in crude and the overall market very weak, it was quite obvious to me that we were set for another sharp drop.

I have revised my downside risk assessment somewhat. Now looks like the OSX probably will trough in the 50-55 range. Do not touch the stocks until the OSX starts to go down less than the overall market.

I still expect the Dow industrials to drop to the 7000-7500 range before turning. Good chance of a final panic selloff (Dow down 300-500 points in one day). These kinds of market massacres tend to last about 2 months, so look for a bottom in September -- not October as most bears are expecting.

Once the market does trough the Dow probably will rally a thousand points by year-end. OSX should go up at least 30%.
