Actually, in a case like DGIV these small-time shorters help us rather than help us. When DGIV starts moving, they will have to cover by buying on the open market. The shorters that are more of a problem in BB stocks are the professional shorters who work with the MMs to bring the price down in concert. My disagreement with the small-time shorters is not that they short per se, but that they try to manipulate the price by bashing the stock, to profit on their short position. This is illegal, regardless of any trickery they might find to get around regulatory laws. But let's let the lawyers look at what they are doing and get us a reading. It will be interesting.
