You're right. I have only seen one honest shorter, at least on a BB stock, who stated up front they are shorting. They always claim to be here without any stake in the stock, to help individual investors by telling them (their favorite half-truth or lie). It is only when their frustration rises because they can't bring the stock down that they admit they are shorters. Sad, isn't it?
