Yogi,
<<. I up and bought back into Readrite>>

I think you are right to do so and will follow on Monday. My thoughts on RDRT have taken a slow reversal and now believe we are in for some short term gains minimally. The things that have led me to this conclusion are likely similar to yours but I will recap:

Their is, I believe, an enormous back log of investor interest in this company.

RDRT appears to have gone a long way to reduce costs and improve response.

They will be announcing the WDC 3.4 GB per platter qual very soon IMO.

Their recent announcements of demonstrated head technology at 11 GB per square inch is impressive.

I now believe they are working closely with SEG on a far ranging program that will be announced in late fall if all goes well. It will call for RDRT to supply GMR heads.

All of the above said I am going to watch this one very closely with my finger on a "hair" sell treigger. I still have deep concerns about the market in general. I also still think we are in for a protracted recovery period in the DD sector with volatility still present from possible consolidation moves (which could hurt or help RDRT...no guess on this one). I still think that the head and media supply lines are way over capacity. Caution is still the watch word but I am, like you apparently, seduced into a foray here. <G>

best,
Stitch

I don't follow the disk drive industry, but the chart on RDRT is looking like a buy to me.

MACD just turned positive, also the short term MA just crossed the long term MA and their going up. This along with other indicators leads me to believe that the short term trend is up.

I figure this is an easy 1 to 3 points on the upside........IMO, of course.

What made you do a crazy thing like that? Hopefully, you'll be good luck. Seriously, hopefully, the turnaround has been for the industry.
