My speaking of a $10 preimum on the price of CD.I versus the common is just a percieved value of an income/convertable instrument versus a conv. only, not at all based on total Div's due.
I personally believe the CD.I's are extremely undervalued if one was to consider the CD.I versus a 5 year Gov't bond, 2+ times of 5.4% is a really unrealized value for bond funds, bond/conv funds, any income fund, I'm amazed that there are ANY CD.I's available to the public, I would expect all 22 Million shares to be in the hands of funds. Thank god they are not, when there value is realized, CD.I will trade at only a price the funds will accept, and that price will be only a price near Par, or $50.
