To Tom - The joint venture with MBE works like this:

MBE and USA are placing the MBE Business Express in the hospitality marketplace...and soon, others. Basically, all of the revenues and profits that result from the placement of the business centers is split equally. Notice I said the business centers...if USA sells a Public PC or a Copy Express, they receive all of the revenues and profits. The joint venture is in effect for the business center only.

No, George has no relationship with AFT. The company was on its way down when George left. The Chapter 11 came some time after George had left. There is absolutely no connection.

Just one clarification on one of your posts. TransAct allows credit card transactions to be made on small purchases for as little as 1 dollar. The service charge is not a dollar, it is quite a bit less. Companies that don't have TransAct pay less than a dollar in service fees...but that is still too much for them to allow $10-and-under purchases. TransAct charges a fraction of what most currently pay now.

As you know, there are literally dozens of applications for TransAct, and McDonalds is a good thought. But because USA doesn't have the sales staff or the resources of an IBM, they must be very focused on one industry as they are becoming a commercialized company. If they try and do too many things at once, they will lose their focus.
