What you went through, unfortunately, is typical of the islands. I'm sure you've heard of the "paradise tax", well it aint just referring to money, you gotta put up with a whole lotta other crap too. As a result, you really have to LOVE these places to live there. Most of what I heard over the years was "its a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there", and I understand exactly what people mean. But I grew up there, and have come to accept it as part of the islands, Hawaii has their problems too, but not like the Caribbean. BTW, I just freed up some more cash, so if web page is not completed by Monday, and this takes another dive, I'm all set to dive into the fire sale, and buy, buy, buy.
