It's beginning to look like it (socket 7) might last a little longer than might have been expected. Asus has just posted their two new Super 7 models on their web site. Asus P5A and P5A-B.

I know you were already aware that SIS and VIA announced new Super 7 chipsets a few weeks ago. SIS 530 and VIA MVP4..

that is most technically AND economically feasible.
If it become the GTLP, there is no reason why
AMD would not use it - the Fairchild bus drivers
are freely available on the market.
