Cary,for what it's worth,I have never seen a board solicit shareholder approval for a split..forward or reverse,unless an increase in authorized shares was required(change in charter)..DD

Cary,

Here are a few of my possible guesses:

1) Its that 1 in a million time when the market is not working efficiently. The free lunch scenario.

2) The new shares are a preferred with dividend requirements that can be converted into normal shares.

3) The new shares have additional voting rights or warrants.

In case 2+3 new shares do not equal old shares. I've also considered the stock split possibility and have not discounted it.
