Chartseer,

Would you use a 1/4 point box size on a $30 stock? It seems that using 1/4 point regardless of the price might be somewhat arbitrary. I realize you've had scads of experience with P and F, I'm very curious about any detail you can provide.

PS, the method using 10% of the most recent breakout price more often than not coincides with price trend line analyses and is best used for a long term (9+ mos.) horizon. When that method signals a sell, it's a sell (using the maintenance of a 45 degree P & F chart uptrend rule of thumb).
Also, since pure P & F does not take timing into account, I only use it for long term decision making.

Oops,

I didn't catch that 1 to 5 part in your post.
What is the breakdown of box sizes you use across what price ranges?
Have you tried anything like what I described?
