Mind Set:

Is the market correcting? It's obvious now.

Do I buy on dips? mind set; No

Do I sell high flyers on volume? Yes

How much capital should I have in the market? 50+%

Why? Where's the bottom...What stocks are oversold? Q2>Q3>You make the call....? Who's making money Q2/3/4/Q1/2'99? does the rest of the world make a difference? Has the US leap frogged Japan?<g> Does Russia/Japan/China/Iran-Irag<g> pose a threat???? I think not! Who's currency do you want to trade in? On an economic view point once currencies are devalued.... where do you go from there? What do you buy? US equities/GOLD? Of those two commodities, what do you feel the most comfortable with?

The Beaten Down/Oversold:

Is it? Why has WS beaten it....WS mentality is usually why I enter a position. But I'm usually too quick in making my determination because I tend to value a company in the current market in RT performance not 1/2/3 quarters ahead of potential earnings or what hurts more the lack of them. There are too many short term traders in the market that kill quality companies on 1/2 bad quarters.....where did this mind set come from?

keeping it brief that's my point. Yes we should be buying certain stocks.....which ones is the question? Short term thinking will lose in the long term. If correct.

Jeff
