There was news last week of a "champagne" party at Ancor headquarters. Does anyone know if this is fact or fiction? Perhaps the news out of ANCOR will be a OEM contract -- wouldn't this prove that the recent new sales people do have some interesting contacts and ANCOR unbelievable products.

James,

Glad to hear that there are still a few that are on my side. Unfortunately, being on this side has been hazardous to your wealth. <g>

I agree with you that Ken H. wouldn't be buying shares on the open market unless there was "something" out there. I guess the big question is what that "something" is, and when will it get here? I was also encouraged by the fact that the buying came from all three officers. Granted, the share counts weren't as much as I would have liked to see, but at least they were buying, and not selling.

<<I sold right before earnings, then bought back in at around $1.66>>

I had the opportunity to sell at $2.625 the morning of earnings, but I didn't. Even though the numbers were awful, and I didn't get the answers I wanted from the conference call, I thought the price would probably drop and then recover quickly as the shock wore off. (I sure was wrong on that one.) My wife wanted to sell. Maybe the ANCR wives (or widows) should take a more active role. <g> Anyway, I've been averaging down too. Every time I see some positive Fibre Channel news, I buy a few more shares. I still think that long term, Ancor will do okay, possibly more than just okay. Fibre Channel is finally here, although the market is changing rapidly, so Ancor will have to be nimble. If they can respond to the changing market, I think they have a reasonable chance to succeed.

Craig

I was down 87% back then, now up 678%.
Thank you Craig for all the helpful insight.
Long for another two years.
